Roundup Volunteers Needed
Other than FastCAT, the Club will provide lunch and water for our volunteers. If you can volunteer for any of these positions, please contact Helene Shillington at fsumisha@gmail.com.
Set Up
We need 4 to 5 people to help with setting up for Obedience/Rally, ACT and Fetch on Friday afternoon. Time TBD.
Obedience & Rally
DOCOH is hosting the Obedience & Rally trials and there will be 2 trials per day on the weekend (Obedience on Saturday and Rally on Sunday; starting each day at 8:30 or 9AM). For Obedience, we need a table steward and 2-3 ring stewards; for Rally, we need a course builder, a table steward, a gate steward and a timer. Volunteers won’t have to work a full day; we can coordinate 2 or 3-hour time slots. FastCAT
lack Knight Lure Coursing is the vendor for these Events but in order to be in compliance with AKC Rules, the Club is required to provide 2 Club Members per day to be on the Inspection Committee which runs the check-in table and clears each dog to run. We also need to provide a floater as backup to assist the timer, hunt master/start line and run back/catch pen as needed. Volunteers don’t have to work a full day, we can coordinate morning or afternoon time slots. Morning volunteers need to arrive by 7:30AM, and afternoon volunteers should arrive by 1:30PM. Black Knight will provide lunch, water and one (1) free run entry for the day you work.
Fetch
DOCOH is hosting these tests and there will be one test each day on the weekend, starting at 9:00AM on Saturday and after lunch on Sunday. We need 2 course setters who will also rotate to return thrown items that aren’t retrieved during the test, and 1 floater to throw for an exhibitor if they need assistance.
Agility ACT 1 & 2
DOCOH is hosting these tests and there will be one each day on the weekend, starting after lunch on Saturday and at 9:00AM on Sunday. We need a scribe, a timer, a gate steward, leash runner and 2 course setters who will also reset bars during the tests.
DOCOH Information table
Volunteers are needed to work the table to answer questions about the Cluster, our club, classes, and memberships as well as sell raffle tickets. Volunteers won’t have to work a full day; we can coordinate 2 or 3-hour time slots.
Our classes are held on the Bergeron Rodeo Grounds (Davie)
